Hacking A Web Server is Not Hard

LAMP: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHPEven someone with no prior hacking experience can do it thanks to the easy to use tools published all over the web.

IIS

By far this is the most popular web hosting software available. It is easy to use and comes with every copy of windows shipped. It even makes hosting multiple websites from one server amazingly easy. But along with the ease of use and popularity comes the problem of being the most easily hacked. There is mountains of info on each and every vulnerability posted all over the world wide web including microsoft.com. The only way to prevent all of this is to keep up with all of the security patches for IIS, but that is a daunting task.

Solution?

LAMP. Yes a lamp. Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP. It still has security problems, but not as much, and keeping it up to date is a lot less daunting.
